Laszlo Markos, 61, and Gyorgy Janos Farkas, 36, sit in Markos' temporary home after both Farkas and Markos were severely injured lost their homes due to an industrial accident caused by a rupture in a toxic alumina reservoir at a nearby plant, in Devecser, Hungary on November 23, 2010. On October 4, 2010 an industrial accident at the MAL plant in nearby Ajka, Hungary sent a torrent of toxic red alumina sludge gushing through Devecser and several other villages, injuring hundreds, leaving several families homeless and killing ten.
