Disaster management workers coordinate relief efforts at their makeshift coordination center after an industrial accident caused by a rupture in a toxic alumina reservoir at a nearby plant in Devecser, Hungary on November 22, 2010. On October 4, 2010 an industrial accident in nearby Ajka, Hungary sent a torrent of toxic red alumina sludge gushing through Devecser and several other surrounding towns, destroying the ecological landscape, killing ten, injuring hundreds and leaving many families homeless.
