Rabbi Jossi Steiner is seen in the only Jewish synagogue in Kosice, Slovakia still in use on June 1, 2010. The synagogue was built by non-Jewish architects for the city's than flourishing Orthodox community numbering in the thousands in the 1920s and completed in 1932; today the community numbers only a few hundred and includes Jews from surrounding villages whose average age is 72 years old.
